Friends I want to introduce you to something that has truly changed my life and is continuing to shape and guide it. I came across this phrase/concept in Stephen Pressfield's book The War of Art and his subsequent book Turning Pro. It almost instantaneously revealed to me WHY I was where I was and HOW I was going to get to where I wanted to go AND become who I knew I could be. It is as simple as this...I was approaching my life like an Amateur and it was time to start approaching it like a Pro. Or as Stephen would put it "I could neatly divide my life neatly into two parts: before turning pro and after. After is better." I could not agree more! And the best part about it is "You don't need to take a course or buy a product. All you have to do is change your mind." Excited for you to give this a listen!

It can be easy to be convinced that this is just who you are and just how it is. I would like to add “until now” to the end of that sentence. This has just been your first attempt at yourself and your life. Your beta version. Let's make an alpha out of your beta.

This episode is not for those who struggle with too much confidence but too little confidence. Some area in your life you are likely scared, playing it small, and shrinking by the day. When you walk into a room like this it is impossible for you to fully be the gift you were born to be.
I once encouraged a young woman to "stand up straight like you belong here and take a deep breath like someone wants you here." It is safe to say it played a big role in changing her life and it might do the same for you. You will be shocked at how things will change when you walk through life with full lungs and a straight spine.
Some questions to ponder after the show:
1) In some area of my life do I feel like I am not enough? Why?
2) What people or situations tempt me to play it small and scared? Why?
3) What is my confidence rooted in?
4) What would change in my life if I were to root myself in love? If I let love fill my lungs?

After our first conversation with Brian about living in the present, we now discuss how we can also live with a vibrant sense of vision. Getting clear and intentional about our vision is increasingly important in a culture where being "busy" is celebrated as a badge of honor. We're always working "in" our life, but how often do we intentionally pull way to work "on" our life? Rather than just living by default, we will consider what it looks like to live by design.

Have you noticed that we will develop the skills to get what we want, but we will rarely develop the skills to want what we have? That means that even when we get what we want it still doesn't make us happy or content. But we go one believing "well the next goal or thing will finally satisfy." Will it?
On this episode, we will explore all this and more with one of my oldest friends Brian Burchik. Brian shares some incredible insight into this dilemma as well as offers a roadmap to understanding what season in life you are currently in and how to actually enjoy it. Check it out!

I believe great change is always preceded by great repentance. No I am not going to "preach" at you. There is no religous agenda here. Repent simply means to "change your mind."
My question is what if we fail to see great change because we fail to understand what repenting even means? Repentance is way more than just feeling bad about something. It is about waking up to the beautiful things we have forgotten.
Are you ready for change? Give this a listen!

When we experience pain in this life, we simultaneously experience vulnerability. It is a moment where the protective walls around our hearts and minds are down. In those vulernable moments lies can creep in, derail and sabatoge our lives.

We are diving back into the often haunting world of fear, anxiety and depression. My good and brilliant friend Dr. Jerome Lubbe joined me for this episode. This is a long one friends but easily the most helpful, hopeful and informative conversation that I have ever been apart of concerning those 3 emotions. If you want to improve your relationship at all to any of those 3 then definitely give this a listen to the end!
